Sepia celebrates the legendary partnership of Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy with this first CD release of their 1959 album FAVORITES IN STEREO. Having appeared together in a string of hit films in the 1930s and early 1940s, including ROSE-MARIE, MAYTIME and BITTER-SWEET, the big screen's most romantic duo went their separate ways until returning to the studio for this collection of solos and duets. The album was a huge success, and represented a late-career surge for MacDonald in particular.

Its other special feature was the use of the stereo recording technique in its early days of popularity. For that reason we have coupled the album with another stereo spectacular featuring Nelson Eddy with his regular singing partner, Gale Sherwood. They unite in a string of popular songs, hits from musicals and operetta standards, all of which complement the glamour and elegance of FAVORITES IN STEREO.
